He started about monetizing a blog

But someone asked him why he should listen to him if his blog did not make money

So he did a case study on himself to make a full time income 3k on 2 hr a day

  1. 1st month he made $352 – and after 3 mo he was making $3k
  2. 2d year $180k
  3. 3d year $360k
  4. 2009   $500k

It takes effort – more than 2hr per day to build the foundation.  But once you have the foundation, then you can spend just 2 hr per day.

Blogging is a good way to start because it cost nothing to start up.  Its like having a website for free.

Why Bloggers don’t make money

  1. 1.  They are bloggers, not marketers
  2. 2.  Because its free, they dont take it seriously
  3. 3.  They don’t have a topic they’re passionate about – so they don’t have consistency and follow up
  4. 4.  They don’t treat it as a business
  5. 5.  The average blog model is limited – add google adsense (not enough – its changing such that the return is now too small)

  2. Build the relationship
  3. Put them in the sales funnel
  4. work out the cost per lead
  5. add pay per click

I.  Capture the lead

  1. Capture the email First and Foremost
  2. RSS twitter, facebook
  3. Best autoresponder = Aweber.  He likes it because after using other systems, he found up to 25% emails are blocked.
  4. Best way to Capture the lead is a free incentive.

II.  Build the Relationship

  1. Use AWeber
  2. Set up a series of autoresponder emails to build a relationship
  3. Establish trust and yourself as an authority

III.  Get Them Into Your Sales Funnel

  • Find Targeted Products to Sell that are targeted to your topic 
  • Could be your own product of affiliate deals
  • Market with Your Lesson Series For example -

    • Lets get you started (recommend not sell the things below)
    • Ways to make money with your blog  – then sell  a blogging product

IV. Work Out the Cost Per Lead

  1. Use google analytics and set up a Goal
  2. Work out the sign up rate
  3. Work out the average income per sign up from the sales funnel
  4. If one in 10 sign up and you make $10 per sign up, then you can spend up to $1 per lead.
